Looking for a Ni-Vanuatu candidate for the position of MECHANICIAN & MAINTENANCE AGENT meeting the following requirements:
MISSIONS :
Mechanical :
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades and replacements of motors and pumps on the Water sites,
- Carry out mechanical and hydraulic consignments,
- Carry out mechanical workshop work (welding, drilling, etc.),
- Be responsible for keeping the workshop in a good state of repair, if it exists or if another department's workshop is used, return it in a very good state of repair,
- Identifying, quantifying and requesting the purchases necessary for the proper maintenance and upkeep of motors and pumps in terms of consumables and emergency parts,
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on the Water Department's machines (vibrating plate, thermal chainsaw, electric tools, etc.),
- Identifying, quantifying and requesting the purchases necessary for the proper maintenance and upkeep of the Water Department's machines in terms of consumables and emergency parts
Maintenance:
- Participation in the upkeep and maintenance of installations, equipment and machinery relating to water disinfection: electrolysers, dosing pumps, probes and sensors, injection points, contact tanks, chlorometers, probes and sensors relating to disinfection, etc.
- Participating in the upkeep and maintenance of water supply installations, equipment and machinery: water hammer arresters, etc.
- Participate in the upkeep and maintenance of water storage facilities and equipment: tanks, etc.
- Filling in inspection forms and reports,
- Participating in monitoring the maintenance schedule,
- Identifying, quantifying and requesting the purchases necessary for the proper maintenance and upkeep of the installations, equipment and machines involved in the production, disinfection, supply and storage of water,
- Must have a ‘Motor vehicule’ & ‘Common vehicule’ driving licence.
Eventually, the Mechanic & Maintenance Agent may be required to reinforce a Water Operations team.
LEVEL REQUIRED :
- Mechanical training (ITV) and at least 2 years' successful experience in a similar position
- 5 years' successful experience in a similar position
SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of motors
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of arc welding
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of centrifugal pumps
- Maintenance skills
- Pack Office
