The extension of the electricity network in METEN, north of Efate, was launched on Friday 18th November 2022.

The works included the installation of 560m of HV network, 1,150m of LV network, 2 transformers and required an investment of 13.6 millions vatus.

The Honourable John SALONG, Minister of Finance and Deputy Minister of Climate Change and Energy was present to express his gratitude.

UNELCO Engie and the community hope that eventually more than 30 households will be connected to the power network and have a reliable supply of energy.

The community members of Meten, represented by their chief, also expressed their gratitude.
