This month, UNELCO attended the Pacific Water an Wastewater Association (PWWA) conference held in Fiji.

PWWA consists in 31 water utilities from 21 countries in the Pacific Region. Its goal is to serve as the principal water and wastewater voice of and for the Pacific Island nations ; and to develop expertise in the Pacific for the sustainable management of water and wastewater services by shaping a cohesive, proficient and robust water and wastewater sector

UNELCO won the Best Technical Performance Award for the 2022 Pacific Middle Income Countries and Territories Utilities. This is a recognition, by its pairs in the region, of the technical expertise of UNELCO’s Water supply team.

Ghislain KALTACK the operating manager says « I am proud of this award, the last of a serie of 16 won since 2011,its underlines the leading role of UNELCO and Vanuatu for the water supply in the Pacific region ».
